The dark blue-grey clouds of the approaching storm made a unique vision for me. I did the sketch first, but just had to do the sky in watercolor. It then seemed unnecessary to paint the rocks and landscape, as the subject of the painting had already been rendered. Knowing when to stop sketching is important. I got back to my car just in time too!
